What do I need to know before hosting a Boudoir party?

1. Invitations?      After you contact me and we pick a date and time, I'll ask you to send me your friends' email addresses. I'll create an Evite for you with all the info. Please invite all your friends, even if they don’t want their pictures taken.

2. How many guests can I have?       I need 4 confirmed guests to do the photo shoot. I cannot do more than 10; the perfect number is 6-8. Everyone typically gets 20-30 minutes in the photo shoot. The first 10 people to respond to the invitation are signed up for photos. If more than 10 people respond and want to have their pictures taken, you can encourage them to host a separate party. Please invite all your friends, just for the fun of it!

3. Do I have an appropriate room for the shoot?   Most every one has a room that could be used. Usually I need a clear open space approx 8 feet by 8 feet for the backdrop. If we are using a bedroom, we might use the bed, a chair, or a window for a prop. Sometimes furniture might need to be moved - not much, just a few inches.

4. Furniture?    I'll bring my own props, but sometime I like to use elements around your house, so don’t be surprised if I ask.

5. Electrical outlets?     I would like the use of two outlets. If there is only one available, that is workable.

6. Makeup Prep room?       You might want to make some other room in the house (like a bathroom with a mirror) available for guests to get ready. This way everyone can do their hair and makeup at the party. Or for fun, you can do each others’ hair and makeup. I do not provide makeup or hairstyling. For an extra fee I can bring in a makeup artist.

7. Coed party?      If you're going to have mixed company, please make sure your female guests are aware men will be attending. Some ladies might be less comfortable with a masculine presence at this type of party.

8. Privacy?     Every shoot is private unless the guest wants to shoot in a kitchen, bathroom, or outdoors. It is up to that guest.  I do ask that each guest signs a contract before the shoot. If I would like to use a photo in my portfolio, online or in print, I always ask for permission first. I do not publish or share any photos taken with out first consulting and receiving permission from the subject of the photo. Only that guest will be shown the photos. It is there choice to share with others.

9. Tasteful, not Trashy?     I will not take pictures that are of a pornographic nature. All my pictures are tasteful and beautiful. I refuse to take anything too provocative or suggestive. I will take couple shots, but only in a tasteful manner. I do take nude photos, but only to show the beauty of the human body.
